Flying theatre takes Washington attraction visitors to new heights

Dynamic Attractions has installed a state-of-the-art flying theatre at a historic attraction in Washington, Seattle.

The brand new Wings Over Washington ride offers guests a “flying” experience, during which they soar over the state’s landmarks and landscapes. The 20-minute ride experience, located at Pier 57’s Miners Landing attraction, was created using the latest technology, including 6K cameras, innovative art laser projection, image capture drones, creative design agency Super 78’s virtual reality collaborative planning tools and cutting-edge surround sound.

The multi-sensory ride features a variety of locations that include Elliott Bay, the Olympic National Forest, the San Juan Islands, the Snoqualmie Falls and the Walla Walla Valley Balloon Stampede as well as imagery of native wildlife. The film was created and produced by Brent Young of Super 78.

“We are thrilled to offer both tourists and residents an unforgettable experience of the many wonders of our great state,” said Kyle Griffith, co-owner of Miners Landing. “This ranges from not only a scenic perspective but an historical, cultural and educational one as well. We also want to thank the incredible artists, craftsman, technology gurus, and expert construction teams who turned our dream into a reality.”
